Comics
I make comics both in my spare time and for university projects. These are some that I have drawn from 2022-present.
That Awkward Moment When... (2024)

Page 1/ Front Cover
This project was in response to a university brief "What's So Funny?". We had to create media (which could be in any form), with the objective being the creation of funny content.

Visual Report (2023)

Text
I added the text to the panels first so that I could map out my sketches. It also helped me get a better feel for the flow of the page.

Text and Sketches
I added in sketches and kept them rough in case I needed to make some unforeseen final edits.

Inks
Once I was happy with my sketches, I inked them and made a backup file in case I made a mistake later on and needed to return to a previous version. This stage essentially acted as a save point.

Cleaned Inks

Flats
I kept the colours to a minimum because I like working with limited colour palettes. My focus was the text and not necessarily the illustrations, so working. minimally worked in my favour in this instance,

Comic Making 101/ Completed Visual Report
The completed graphic novel page I created showcasing my research into how to get started with creating a comic. I felt that the flats were lacking some depth, so added a spotlight to better sell the scene.
Chilla the Chinchilla (2023)

Cover Page/ Page 1
"Chilla the Chinchilla" is a comedy/slice-of-life webcomic based on an anthropomorphic chinchilla and her best friend, a rabbit getting into shenanigans at school. This is a personal comic of mine that I was drawing out of enjoyment and experimentation with drawing animals, since this is not my strong suit.

How Were Oven Trays Invented? (2022)

Page 1
This comic was created in response to a brief from university about making a funny narrative based on an artefact. I chose an oven tray, and this is the narrative I created.

Unruly Retail (2022)

Page 1
"Unruly Retail" is a personal comic that I began to write in 2022. It would have been a comedy/ slice-of-life comic based on my experience working in retail during the summer. The episodes were set to be short so that I wouldn't get overwhelmed with making it. This is also the reason I kept it in mostly greyscale. This short episode is about the intimidating hiring process.
